The Earth’s orbital environment is a finite resource, which we need to prevent and to preserve for use by next generations. The steadily growing number of objects in form of space debris in our space environment, create increasing risks to our astronauts and assets in space.
The German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Luft- und Raumfahrt), as a scientific and technical network, has pledged to promote exchange to find solutions for preventing and eliminating space debris to maintain operations in space for applications, science and research.
